Spring 2019

After a rather cold and wet January and February, the desert is alive with a beautiful Spring bloom. I was in Borrego Springs for The Circle of Art the second weekend of March and had a very successful 2 days there. I had the honor of being asked to produce the art for 2020 The Circle of Art Poster. Proceeds from the event go toward funding educational programs for local children. I am very excited about creating a painting that will become the poster. I will visit there in April and spend a few days plein air painting and taking photgraphs for potential subject matter.

I had the privilege of showing my work at The Annual Rancho Mirage Open Studio event on Saturday March 23. My friend Ehrick Wright invited me to participate and share his home. It was a fun experience and very successful.

The San Dimas Festival of Art is in the books. I had a fantastic weekend. I was honored to receive first place in the Drawing/Pastel division for my painting titled “King of the Hill”. I cannot describe the feeling I had being so recognized. In additon the piece sold plus my painting called “Sticking together. These are two recently completed paintings and two of my favorites. I look forward to being invited back to next years Festival.

Have a great Spring and check back often as I am always updating my pastel images and news of happenings in my world.
